Transite Flue Pipe

I am looking for some installation instructions for the out dated 3" and 4" transite flue/vent pipe that was used on water heaters and furnaces up to the 1970's. Any information regarding the life expectancies of these systems would be of great interest to the home inspection industry.
Thanks

You could try the Johns Manville company , I remember back in the 70's they were the largest manufacturers of tansite pipe.0
