taco relay and therm guard

I have a pellet stove in the same room with the thermostat. It has forced hot hater baseboard that's go underneath a crawl space, and the pipes are wrapped. When the pellet stove runs the temp generated overrides the thermostat set point. I was always worried about freezing pipes. I recently purchased a Therm Guard which is a small unit that connects to the thermostat. It allows intervals to be programmed that will allow the water in the baseboards to circulate. I noticed that if i push the thermostat set point passed what it is set to, the taco relay starts to buzz with thermguard turned on. If i bypass the thermostat and attach the thermguard directly to the relay it does the same thing so the problem does not seem to be in the thermostat. Any way to stop the the taco relay from buzzing when temp is pushed passed set point with thermguard turned on? Hope I'm not being to vague on this one. This thermguard looks like a good idea, it's designed by www.bearmountaindesign.com/ Thanks, Ed Burke
