in Oil Heating
Just curious, no oil here at all. period. #1? #2? Kerosene? What is the diff and what is a 'winter blend'? No gas available to these areas? Seems to be big business. Do all big cities (Philly, Chicago, NY, NE) use oil? What percent use it vs gas? Just read the news article about the oil thief.

#2 oil here on LI,further north customers with outside tanks commonly use a blend of kero and #2 or straight kero to prevent gelling. There are about 8 million homes heated with oil mostly in the northeast. Where NG is available it's taking a big bite of the market share.Propane is also growing at the expense of oil even though it is much more expensive than oil on a BTU basis. To learn more about this professional, click here to visit their ad in Find A Contractor.0
