Newer Macs
should be able to run most PC programs. Try using Bootcamp, or you may need to buy a PC emulator.
If you have an Apple store near you stop in. They are great at explaining how to make it work.0 -
But you need to buy Windows
Even though Macs can run Windows, they don't come with Windows. You'll need to buy a Windows CD. If you know anyone who is a student or a teacher, you might be able to get a copy of the CD for 90% off.
Maybe there's a calculator written in Java or something that would work for free on the Mac.There was an error rendering this rich post.

Windows not always necessary
I run HVAC-Calc for Windows on my (Intel) Mac using a helper application called Crossover

($40 - I believe there is a free trial period)
many 'Windows' applications really don't need all the baggage of Windows, and will run fine in open source emulators based on 'Wine'.

I had some difficulty getting Wine set up, so the $40 to Codeweavers was well worth it.
YMMV - good luck!
