I see that Gorton's valve are often mentioned. Are they superior? And why? I have a small house (1000 SQ/FT) with a small boiler.

Gorton Vents
Hi- Most of the comments on Gorton here are probably about the Gorton #1 and Gorton #2. These are large capacity Main Vents used for venting the steam Mainw and/or the Returns. The Gorton # 2 has about 3 times the venting capacity of the Gorton #1. Gorton also makes vents for radiators though most people use adjustable radiator vents and the Gorton Radiator vents are non adjustable. - Rod0
