The pipe gets heated when boiler is on and air comes out from the radiator however it does NOT get heated. My thermostat is in the same room above the boiler room. Rarely does the top left section where the valve is of the radiator becomes hot but not the entire thing. Can someone please help me resolve this issue. Many thanks.

This is a steam system, correct?
It's probably an air venting problem, which may or may not be at the radiator itself. Time to call a Steam Man to look at it. Try the Find a Professional page of this site. All Steamed Up, Inc.
