Have you had a look at the Mass folks?

There is only a single person listed in CT

Perhaps a regular forum member Charles Garrity is within your reach .. http://www.heatinghelp.com/professional/221/Charles-Garrity-and-Son-Plumbing-and-Heating

can you recommend
JPF321,
I see that you are from the queens, NYC area. Can you please recommend someone you dealt with from the area? I tried the find a professional section, and made a few calls, but I wanted a recommendation from someone who actually had dealings with the pros listed on that section.
Thanks!0 -

when you find the listing of professionals in your area, then do a search for their postings here. you can gauge a great deal of the man by his writings on this learned site!--nbc

Thanks NBC
Can you refer anyone else as backup?
I know that you mentioned to search the wall for plumbers posting, but I have experience with a poster on this forum in which i am very embarassed to even state what he told me about my steam heat. It can be personal opinion but I know what he said and am very disappointed with his response.
Thanks in advance.0 -

unfortunately, i am in nebraska, and so only know the rest of the experts here from their writings. i don't know what might have been said about your system, but hopefully it was only as a result of miscommunication. by reading the postings, you could gauge the communication skills of the local professional before making the call.
if you find someone with great steam experience, and good communication skills, you are doubly fortunate, otherwise you may have to settle for just the skill part.--nbc0 -
i haven't...
HenryT -- I never called anyone in, thank goodness I haven't had a problem that has required a pro yet. I've only been in the house since Aug. and I have only been a steamjunkie since Nov. I'm pretty handy and have been doing alot of reading.
