can i use a #76 Hoffman air vent to replace a Richardson air vent on a 2 pipe vapor vac. system.

You;ll probably need more than one vent to replace that. Not sure what the venting rate is on the Richardson, but I bet you'd need more for your system. What you need to do is measure all your mains to calculate the size vents you need. I called valve manufacturer and they recommend a Hoffman # 75 for the two pipe steam system. it seams to be working all rads. on that line are now heating. i,ll know better in a few days or so0 -

If that new main vent hisses a lot, you may need to add more venting there. Keep an ear open for it next time the heat cycles on.0
