Will a number 76 Hoffman air vent replace a Robinson (July 1918) vent on a two pipe vapor vac. system.

can you please repost in the "strictly steam" area. you will get more steam related replies there. in answer to your question however, the hoffman 76 is a vacuum vent, however there may be other reasons why maintaining a vacuum is not a good idea in todays modern-fueled steam systems.-nbc0 -

I found the rigth site. i solved the problem i think i,ll know in a day or two. i called a couple of valve manufacturers they recommend Hoffman #75 seams to be working now back half of house now heating.0
