  • "Wow" is right!

Any idea what actually blew? Seems too big for just the vehicle, was it the bottle that went?

Do you have any more info? Pictures? When and where? I know someone who might be interested in this as he teaches safety in this kind of thing.

    Was anyone hurt?

We had a guy near us take a hit from a hand held torch set up. Young guy who prefered the ease of the small tank. I like my 15# turbo tanks. Yep I use propane most of the time for soldering. You can tell I am not into refrigeration.

    To distract a little

from the revelation that I'm sure every one of us at one time has found a bottle of some sort of fuel gas leaking before.

Who get's to clean up the mess? Does the plumber have to go out with his apprentice and pick up all the pieces??

See when you think of it that way it kinda takes the sting out of it!!

Amazing nobody was seriously hurt or killed!

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    acetylene+spark=

For the past few years I've only had a  small bottle of mapp and the acetylene is stored safely away.  For the work I do, crawl spaces in old houses etc. the propress has been a real comfort for me.
