Clock thermostats on radiant zones?

I work for a company who has for decades discouraged the use of clock thermostats on radiant zones. Is this an industry standard or just a quirk of my boss?

I do occasionally come across a clock therm/ radiant combination installed by others.

Does it just lead to slow response complaints?

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    set back

Yes, as you suspect, slow response is one aspect of radiant floors. A setback thermostat is not really compatable.
