system sizing info needed

Hi, I hope I can find some needed info here.

My 200+ year old farm house has been heated by a wood stove (backed up by an old Williamson warm air system) for years. We recently added on another 600sq feet of living space that is well insulated and heats easily with another stove. I have reconnected a Tarm MB-55 wood boiler and was intending to ad a heat exchanger to the existing warm air system and ad on an air handler for the new space. I have since changed the plan include hydronic baseboard because the FHA system crashed and is not worth repairing.

What I need to know is how to determine the necessary amount of baseboard heating in both the old part and the new.

Old part- 700 sq ft with 980 sq ft of exterior wall space that has blown in insulation, 10 t-pane vinyl replacement windows and one exterior solid wood door.

New part- 600 sq ft w/960 sq ft exterior walls 6" bats, 8" ceiling insulation, 8" floor, all t-pane vinyl windows and 2 exterior wood doors. The entire house has unheated crawl spaces under it.

I hope this isn't too long winded for publication. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dave

    What you need

is a heat-loss calculation program. This will let you calc each room and determine what is needed to heat it.

I still use the Slant/Fin program which is no longer offered. There are others out there but I have not used them.
