antler/menorah pitch for main vents?

I just reviewed the drawing that has been posted in these forums before... http://www.heatinghelp.com/images/posts/983/resize_Multiple%20Venting.jpg ..
Is it ok that there is little to no pitch using an antler for main vents?
Should I figure out how to pitch it?
Will the steam and condensate excuse each other on 1/2" pipe?
Will water hammer be a problem without pitch?
How will I ensure that the antler drains?
thanks

venting menorah size
i have only used 3/4'" pipe for vents, because i would think that the 1/2" could be a little small especially at the beginning of the cycle.
in your photo 27, where the small vents are, you could cut out the short verticals and put in a proper tee, for 3/4" pipe. do a search for "removing nipple" for the procedure.--nbc0 -
as long as you don't have reverse
pitch you should be okay..you just can't load up a half inch pipe with much tho..only 2 gorton #2 main vents on 1/2'' pipe.gwgillplumbingandheating.com

plan on tapping the main...
I plan on tapping the mains and leaving the small vents frozen in place. this is mainly b/c I think that section of pipe may often get stack on it. if it gets stacked, even if I raise my vents way up above DimA .. the opening will be flooded until my slow returns drain. those vents are only 14in above water line and while it is a domestic and the dead men, according to TLAOSH (pg 25.) may have used 14" .. I'd feel much better about going on top of the mains (the bottoms of which are 24" AWL)
I may attack that small vent area in order to attempt a wet return cleanout.1-pipe Homeowner - Queens, NYC

nope not reversed...
and I only plan on 1pc #2 on the 1/2" antler. Thanks though, very valuable rule of thumb...btw, how many #2s can go on 3/4" pipe .. I see that steamhead has presumably 3pcs #2 on x/y" pipe.
I see that you note that open 1/2" pipe can vent 2.6CFM @ 1oz.
Question: Is it perhaps better to use 2pcs 45deg Ells with close nipple rather than a 90deg Ell to smooth the turn? Or perhaps to even bend the pipe rather than use Ells. Just wondering about in-pipe friction and turbulence..1-pipe Homeowner - Queens, NYC

four #2's and a single #1
equal a 3/4'' pipe..yes a smoother turn does place less ''backpressure'' or friction loss on the air, or steam for that matter.gwgillplumbingandheating.com

from your data table...
I see that now 4pcs #2 and a 1pcs #1 = 9.5CFM = 3/4" pipe @ 3OZ. Thanks!1-pipe Homeowner - Queens, NYC
