steam traps on return

we r working on an old building. the building is split in 2 older parts. it has the main in the attic with drop down feeders. this half of the building has 1 slight issue....the returns are being dumped into a sump and pumped down the drain.."sad but true". we are going to install a condensate return pump to a boiler feed pump that we r going to install at the other building.my question is this though.....there r hoffman ts54's on 4 returns ...i understand there needs to be 1 at the main steam supply feeder that goes to the attic....does there need to be traps on the other returns prior to entering the pump?
