Thermostat Help

I would like to install a programmable thermostat to my hot water heating system. I have a TACO SR506 switching relay and would like to power the thermostat from it. On my battery operated thermostats I simply connect the red and white wires but on the new thermostats they require 24v power and do not take batteries. Can I get power from the SR506 and where would I connect the wires on the SR506 and on the thermostat? Thanks
