Hi all,
Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to look for help.
I've got what appears to be (after reading "Lost art.." an Arco Model K vapor orifice system. The system is shown on p.269 fig. 60, the valve is p.268 fig.59.
The system works--that's all I'll say. The pressure seems to be awfully high (pressuretrol approx 3psig) and it takes a pretty long time for some of the upper floor radiators to heat. Most of the valves are shot and I've been forced to replace them with normal (non-orifice) valves, which I now understand is bad news.
The boiler may be approaching the end of it's useful life.
I am a complete layman who will invest the time to read and learn about this system, but I need a real pro to come out here and straighten it out.
Anyone out there interested in coming out to Mansfield Township (warren county just outside of Hackettstown) ?
thanks,
Todd Wilding
