What would be a recommended thermostat for a gas forced air furnace?

Thanks

  • I would think,

anything manufactured by Honeywell would be a safe bet.

They have stats available from the most-basic,,,, to super-sophisticated setback models in every price range.

Remember, when you decide on one don`t go into too deep a setback !  ;-)

    consumer reports

Consumer reports did an evaluation of setbacks - you might check the back issues

    What should setback be??

I work with radiant and fight people all the time for setting back and have replaced thermostats so that they can't mess with them any more.

My question is what is a efficient setback for a forced air setup?

also how much more efficient would a newer heat pump be over one that is probably at least 10-15 years old?
