Ever since csst pipe has required grounding, I have been using stranded 4AWG wire and standard grounding lugs attached to an eight foot 5/8 thick grounding rod with no problem, however; today the propane supplier tells me that the ground has to terminate at the service. This would be fine if the panel were anywhere near the boiler but of course it's 90 feet away through a finished basement. Mfg. says to refer to NFPA 70, which i did. Based on my interpretation I believe I am correct, am I?
