I live in a prewar apt building and it has a steam heating system, I think. All the other radiators are burning hot except for one. The super has come 3 times and bled it 3 times already. It was burning hot right after bleeding each time. Then it cools down gradually and never even become warm again! What is going on? There has to be some rational explaination behind this. Please shed some light on this. I'm quite at the end of my rope.

It makes a LOT of difference.....
wether you're on steam or hot water. Did the super actually get water out of the radiator? or just steam?

yes he did
The super did manage to have the hot water running out. And the radiator worked once more that night. Then it turned cool again that same night. I tried to bleed it again myself, and no steam or water came out of it.0 -
