BTU Metering

Asked this question under controls, maybe will get more response here? Our company is looking heavily into expanding into a monitoring/billing service for apts during the heating season, through BTU measurement. I know its more common out east, we are fighting the tide here. Any suggestions of particular products and all help is appreciated. In order to be lawful we have to measure flow through the baseboard/fin-tube (radiators will hopefully come along later but thats harder). We also have to show temperature drop on heating element at entrance and exit of unit. If you would like to correspond through email please send to bbcoach09@usiwireless.com Thank you in advance for your time and help GC3

Im not sure
But I remember last time we spoke about this subject,it was more complicated than what appears. When you start selling energy you become a utility, also your meters have to be checked by the states weights and measures division. The meters themselves are widely available and fairly easy to install. You may want to talk to a knowledgeable lawyer before attempting this. Your better off putting in individual boilers and letting the gas utility handle the meters.0
