Oil Boiler Reset Button

Just had service less than a month ago on our oil-fired hot water boiler.  The tenant today said he has had to press the reset button on the boiler several times over the past two days in order to try and get some hot water.  (The boiler has a tankless hot water system.)

Since the first plumber charged about $300 to thoroughly service the boiler, you'd think it would work more than a few weeks.  Do I call him back and hope for the best?  Call the oil company and have them send out a service person?

What causes a reset button to be forced into action?  All responses welcome!

    Call the last person there....

Since it’s so soon after the plumber serviced it, I think it would make sense to call him back. Any reputable service company would want to make things right. Please keep in mind though, that there are parts that can fail even after a tune-up. So the call may be chargeable.

    Where’d you go, Nova?

    What was the final outcome?
