I have an idea, but have never seen anything like it. I was in RI last week ans saw this in an antique store while in Salem. Saltwater flyfishing was great!!!

Went nuts! where did I see??
The Pvt. school I went to No. of Lake Tahoe was originally a resort, on the Feather River, built in 1910.The fire hose connections all had those things. Without that, wouldn't have a clue.0 -
Fire hose gong
I worked as a facilities maintenenace tech at a large multi bldg place. In the dead of a cold cold night you could hear those going off in an un occupied bldg. They were hooked to the sprinkler and fire hoses. All you needed was a frozen pipe and then the flow began. But those bells could be heard a long way off.0 -
Pvt school
as in Feather River Preparatory School?
just curious ... a former girlfriend was teaching there when we met in the mid 80s0
