im in the process of converting 5, 1 pipe steam rads into hot water rads for my basement. however, i cannot get the other ends plug out. ive had wrench's with cheater bars and even heated them and they dont budge!
can anyone give me a hint on an easy way to get them out?
i even went as far as cutting the head off the bolt (they are hollow bolts) and started chiseling them out....i might have dug a grave on that one!!!
any help greatley app!!!

plugs
Drill `em out and cut out a section of the threads,I call it filleting.
Usually have good luck, just have to be xtra careful you don`t damage the threads.0 -
Try wax
I have had several people use regular candle wax to remove bolts or plugs that will not budge by other means. Heat the plug or bolt with a torch to red hot, place candle wax on the plug and allow to cool. The plug will come much easier. If the bolt or plug will not budge, you may need to reheat and apply the wax more than once.
Good luck,
