Insulation
What method/product do you prefer for pipe insulation? I have used fiberglass & cover, armoflex (covered on exterior) and fiberglass with PVC pipe.
This must be my sticky point on installs because of the aggravation that ensues immediately upon this task. Maybe I just gotta get over it, but maybe there is a better way. Just wondering what everyone else is doing.
Thanks in advance.

elastomeric foam
inside & out. used to use armaflex, recently switched to aerocell, which more cheaply complies with WI rebate temp standards (250°) for closed loop pressurized systems. I find it a bit less slidable and stretchable over fittings than the armaflex, though. I slide it over pipe wherever possible, slit & glue where I can't.
I sense the preslit & preglued stuff is probably a better way than do it yourself slit & glue, but haven't gotten there yet.
PVC jacketing outside for UV & weather resistance, secured with matching color self-tapping screws. have some doubts about the longevity of the PVC.
