in THE MAIN WALL
Do I need an air scoop on an old cast iron radiator system, the old expansion tank in ceiling has a hole in it and I was going to replace it with a # 30 extrol screwed into a spirovent, if I could save cost on the job I'd like to.

    if you are incorporating  a Spirovent on your system, you shouldn`t need one.



    BTW- A #30 tank is pretty small for CI rads.  :-)
