Does the authority having jurisdiction require cross-tees on the turns to your LWCOs? Usually a good idea to put them in anyway, as they help with the yearly cleaning.

I'd also put in an extra union on the top nipples to the LWCOs for later servicing.

Further, I'd tap the pressure control tees off the top of the boiler, as they're less likely to clog the pigtails.  Kudos for using brass pigtails!  Iron pigtails should be banned, period.

    Well done header and equalizer.

    thanks

Thanks for the advise Gordo. Not sure about cross tee requirement but I usually keep a gasket or two for these and clean them through the body. I also will tap from the top, this is where experience can outweigh the install diagram.  I really had fun piping this...

    Good job

Good job Tim.  Isn't steam fun.

We often show up to jobs with crates of various sizes of nipples and lots of unions and couplings.  Not as neat but gets the job done faster.  With 12" nipples there really is not that many.

    pressure control piping

the pressure control piping could be connected at the top, so that all 3 pigtails would have to be plugged before becoming inoperative, as i did on mine.-nbc
