Copper and brass scrap?
My "scrap" c&b guy gave me a heads-up he will be calling on Tuesday(thankfully). I have almost 2yrs worth piled-up around here,,, how`s the going rate in your area?

Scrap price.....
Price is back down in my area. Last year they were paying two and a half bucks a pound for copper, now under a buck.

If it were me, and it was just sitting there, taking up space and not hurting anything, I'd hang on to it until the price goes back up. Unless you NEED the cash or the space it's taking up, in which case let him come.
If what all of the economic experts say is true, hyperinflation usually follows a deep recession, and IF that happens, your scrap COULD be worth DOUBLE the highest previous price paid, but then again, so will everything else...
Guess you have to weigh the good against the bad...

Finned tube is 1.09
#1 copper is 2.31
#2 copper is 2.15
dirty brass is .95
clean brass is 1.60
lead is .33
