Hydroponics?

At a recent meeting a co-worker was telling us how much he liked the "hydroponic" heating system in his house.  I'm not sure how it works, but I suspect that it involves growing a lot of jalapenos.  :-)

Anybody else encounter any good heat-related malapropisms lately?

I read a story in the newspaper

where they lifted a building using several hydronic jacks.
    Retired and loving it.

    Heres one

I remember once a plumber coming into the distributor and asking the counterman for a concussion. Of course all of us thought about him grabbing a 48" pipe wrench and whacking him on the head across the counter.

After the laughing stopped, I chimed in and asked do you mean an escutcheon, for a pipe? what size and type?

    ahu

We install Toyotomi boilers and water heaters. Our own people mispronounce the name all the time. Tommy-Toe-Me; Toyo-Tommy.

    Drives me nuts.

It must be late in the day ...

All the posts made me smile - thanks. But in the same vein - can we consider hydraulic rams the source of steel wool?

    New kind of pay

I was working for a good old boy foreman who told us that the girl in the office made a mistake on or checks and that next week we would get some "radioactive pay"!

There was an error rendering this rich post.
