Clogged Condensate Return Line

In my own house I was prepared to replace the entire condensate return line as it appeared to be clogged. One plumber who looked at it suggested we first try to unclog it by continuously pumping a chemical solution, possibly an acid, around and around through the return line after it has been sealed off from the boiler. The residew will be collected in a container and disposed of.
Has anyone heard of this process and is it effective?

Clogged Condensate Return Line
A gallant effort,,, but pumping(circulating) acid will do your system more harm than good. It will find its way to any good joints & decrease their lifespan,, not to mention the boiler itself no matter the isolation method you may use.If you have found the "bad section" I would opt to replace that piping.0
