Need Smith G-8 Installer in Boston

Options
I'm looking for an installer to install a Smith G-8 in Allston. The Find a Pro's listed don't work with these. Any suggestions? Or are there any other steam boilers that aren't atmospheric burners?

    Slant/Fin Intrepid series

is also approved for use with Carlin EZ-Gas, HeatWise SU or Midco EC power gas burners. Smith G-8 can be hard to get around here so we've started using S/F. You order the boiler less the burner (be sure to specify the probe-type LWCO) and order the burner separately. Call S/F and ask for Bob Flanagan if you need more, tell him I sent you.

    boiler vs burner

Frank we have no issues finding a boiler but the burners we need to go with the universal one. I am also being told that the G8 does not exist.

    That's happened a few times

with Smith. Some of their people don't know their own product line! Slant/Fin is much better to deal with.

If there's no closer source, MJD Combustion Sales on Long Island carries the Midco burners and will ship them anywhere you want. Not sure about Carlin or HeatWise but if you call them they'll be able to send you to the right people.

I will stick with Smith for now

Frank, Dad dealt with slant fin back in the 1970's and it left a bad taste in his mouth. Despite the changes in the line we avoid them. I realize things change but We are happy with Smith. I am also getting familiar with explaining people's product line to them.

that things are much better at S/F now. They sure have come thru for us!
