boiler cleaning

I have a slantfin oil boiler, Tarm wood-boiler and 500 gallons of storage.
I'd like to clean and treat the water soon. What would be the most economical cleaner to use?
Figure about 700 gallons.
Would TSP be the way to go?
Is it o.k to dump after?

Why? A simple flushing should be adequate if it is dirty for some reason.

I do not know if your systems contain aluminum or not.
If there is aluminum in your system, you do not want to use TSP. My W-M Ultra 3 with aluminum heat exchanger, for example, must not be flushed with TSP. They have 6 pages of instructions for annual startup; flushing the system is not one of the steps.
They say, elsewhere, that if you must clean the heat exchanger, to use products specifically for aluminum, such as are provided by Hydronic Agencies, Ltd. in Canada and Rhomar Water Management, Inc, in USA.0
