What's the shelf life of soildering flux. does it go bad?

Does flux go bad? if so what is the shelf life of it.

seems to last forever
have seen it last 20 years. had a large can of utility unopened for twenty years. used the whole can & no trouble ran great not one leak. have soldered with success joints that were assembled and left untouched for five years . 95-5 , ran like butter.0 -
Sorry to disagree bob,
but I have heard of it.
Not a problem with me so far,, but I have-had a few fellow plumbers complain.
I think it may have something to do with temperature changes in the truck.
In my area,, Kester is still King. ;-)

shelf life
i got a jar of handy harmon brazing flux from 1969. can't wait to open it up & test it. i need a brazing project. still got some non- self cleaning sil-foss rod. man, i am getting old . lol0 -

What I AM looking for is some old-time wiping tallow,,, don`t think I`ll ever find that! ;-)
