I have 6 or so wall mount rads. They would not be too bad to ship. Where are you? SLC, UT here...

split loop
Started some remodelling and want to replace a window with a door. Was concerned about loss of fin-tubed baseboard in affected room. Concern was justified as I don't have enough to spare and no area for additional baseboard or suitable floor area for a recessed box. House from early 70's with this floor on one loop that has almost 87 ft. of baseboard and struggles in the winter. From reading "loop hot-water heating" on this site I am considering splitting the loop. It's 3/4" copper and I noted the need for a 1" return pipe. My question is should the pipe feeding this split be 1" as well prior to the split? This wasn't mentioned. Also how critical is the balance between each side of the split loop? Any suggestions for radiator suppliers of wall mounted radiators? Thanks, Bill0
