The characters stay with me. It's haunting, and it's wonderful. Thanks, Susan. I'm going to review it in Dan's Reading List as soon as the new site launches.
Wallies, take this book to the beach!

novelist returns to say thanks for the boiler expertise
A few years back, I posted on The Wall, looking for realistic details and information for my novel, in which a boiler plays a prominent role. Many of you responded with interest, humor, and expertise, and it was a great experience for me. July 1 is the official release date for my novel "Grand River and Joy," published by University of Michigan Press. Dan has read it and posted about it. I'm returning here to post today to thank you once again but also to direct your attention to an article about my book that appeared yesterday in the Detroit Free Press. The writer particularly mentioned the boiler chapter, so I thought you should know about that. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2009906280305
Here's to boilers and boiler professionals! May they live long and prosper.0
