New Watts RBFF install

in spite of our recommendation we could not talk the homeowner into zone valves w/ a wilo pump. The picture features a new 3-way-valve by watts. This job was done by A Superior in S.I.N.Y. & Comfort P&H in Jersey.

    Nice Job!

Let me guess "One pump can't do the job" or "What if the pump goes bad,I'll have no heat" or "My neighbor,co-worker,landscaper etc said zone valves are no good"

  • What if the pump goes bad,I'll have no heat was the reason. I don't know how to combatt that one.

  • As you also may notice I used a spirotop on the separator. It works much better than the one that comes with it.

    Bad Pump

So, please excuse my ignorance, but; what happens in that
design if the Primary circ goes bad? Will system circs induce flow through the LLH to the zones? If not, what's the diff?

    Few questions

Why is there what looks like a dielectric union, on the boiler supply? Personal preference?

Should the relief valve be vertical?

What did you not like about the Caleffi vent?
    -or-
What does the Spiro vent do that the Caleffi did not?
