Stainless Steel Brazing

Hey Guys, we are looking for someone to weld or solder a 1'' adapter to a stainless steel heat plate in a chiller unit. Do you guys know of anyone is the Boston area that you would recommend. Very much appreciated. -MAC

If I'm not mistaking you need to TIG weld the adapter to the stainless. I have worked with a lot of stainless in the past, you should talk with a pipefitter who does a fair amount of welding. You most likely need a TIG rig and some 309 filler wire. The 309 is used when you have two different types of stainless.

Brazing Stainless
Stainless can be brazed if you know the alloy and you can provide the proper fit to the adapter.
Welding may be an easier option in this case.0
