Viessmann Replacement w/Vitodens

First time I've replaced a Viessmann boiler with a Viessmann boiler. The original AR boiler (c 1988 with original Trimatik MC analog clock) was severely corroded due to Polybutlylene radiant tubing directly connected to the boiler with steel manifolds and iron pump. The red sludge was bountiful and the system was cleaned chemically. The chimney cap had blown off years ago allowing rain to directly enter the venting. The Vitodens 6/24 replaces the unit with a FPHX for system separation. We re-used the original Verticell 53g indirect.

I knew about O2 diffusion when this was installed "by others". There are many of these particular installs which were designed by the local Viessmann rep (since retired) from Surrey BC and a local contractor, whom you know, and shall remain nameless. They always used PB tubing and Magra manifolds, with remote TRV heads to control the manifold. I've replaced at least a dozen of these systems in the greater Seattle area in the past 6 years.
