No problem. We made a sweet one that I'll go to the job tomorrow and take some shots of. I've never posted pics here before so maybe I'll just email them to you HR.

    please

I have a presentation on hydraulic separation at the upcoming RPA function. I'm looking for some actual install pictures. They will be part of a ppt presentation, credit given of course, and they will have RPA logo-ed captions.

I have a handful of clever and unique handmade ones folks have sent pictures my way over the years, to stir the imagination. I'm looking for more.

I will also have a couple actual working "clear" demos I built to show and tell. Thanks.

    Construction of seperator

Will you go into specific rules of thumb about how to construct a true hydraulic seperator ,

My understanding is diameter is supposed to be 3X the size of its outlets. Not sure about length.

I look forward to seeing you in Utica.

    Separator Design

There is no reason for the trunk to be any larger than the branches based on flow rates. There is never more flow in the trunk than there is in either of the branches. The only reason would be for settling. Particle settling size depends on the velocity of the water, and that will depend on flow rates. Air removal is another variable, but the trick in my opinion is to somehow disrupt the flow. Either a baffle or a change in elevation of the upper pipe is sufficient. If a baffle is used, it is important to ensure that adequate area is available for flow.
