The company is a side company of Runtal, and make a wonderful product.

Piping changes you describe....not so good.

Steam and copper with solder joints have been proven a bad decision. Black iron pipe is the ONLY way to do this right. Holes can be made to accompany the differences the first time. Patchwork to repair all the mistakes using copper will cost more in the long run....so take the tag line from Taco to heart.

"Do it ONCE...do it right".

It will cost far less to do it right the first time, than to do it over. It's also more profitable...Your choice.

    steel radiators

After removing cast iron column type radiators from old Pacific Heights bldg. in San Francisco, have some questions. contractor wants to use steel vertical tube radiators (www.steamradiators.com.) Any pros or cons.
the system is a 90 yr. old 1 pipe down flow. Currently operating at 2 psig. also contractor wants to change a small amount of piping close to radiators to copper to allow piping to fit closer to wall. Cast iron to copper to steel, does'nt sound to good.
