Yes, maybe even turn it off until the tech arrives.
While you are waiting you can think about a few things.
A boiler does not usually go out of tune suddenly. Do you have soot on and around the boiler? Is there something that is plugging the boiler air supply, either to the room or to the boiler itself? Or a partial plug of the chimney.

Black smoke
My neighbor said black smoke was pouring out of my
chimney when my son was in the shower. My hot water is from a coil in the boiler. Som the boiler was running. Why is this happening?0 -

I would suggest you get a service-pro there pronto!

Did somebody hit the re-set several times? I recommend you shut it down until a pro gets in there.0
