Solder joint inside steam boiler

I am going to put a 1/2" copper loop inside my steam boiler to gravity pre-heat my hot water. I am using a lower boiler tapping with a 2" duplex bushing and compression fittings. The 1/2" cc tube will go in 16", u-turn and come straight back out. I don't think I can bend the 1/2" copper that tight to fit through the 2-1/2" opening. Can I solder two elbows to make the turn, or will there be a problem with the solder joint?
