Lavatory Facet with Threads for Hosse

If you`re speaking of an automatic clothes washer with direct hoses, typically an "air-break" is built into the machine from the manufacturer.
That`s why they fill above the waterline. Dishwashers have had this too at one time. ;-)

Dave

Lavatory Facet with Threads for Hose

Is anyone aware of a lavatory faucet with a threaded outlet to connect a washing machine hose? Not sure if it a 4 inch or 8 inch faucet.

    It is a ...

laundry tub/ sink faucet. Usu. 4 " cc. It should have a vacuum breaker screwed onto the threads to protect the water supply. kpc

    Just

Find an aerator adaptet X hose thread fitting. I keep several on my truck. I only use it as a temporary type set up. Any good hardware store would have these.
  • As the others have stated,

you MUST protect the potable water supply from back-siphon with a back-flow-preventer, and there are many adapters available for this.
If its a lav faucet, the only thing that comes to mind is a bar sink type gooseneck spout that will give you some additional height.

    Maybe just....

in my area, but I have never seen any kind of backflow device in a residential washer connection.

    Just my observation,

    Yeah Dave....

guess I just assumed when he said washer hose, he was going to hook a washing machine to it.

Probably not a good assumption :)

    Cheers,

    Jim
