There is no cap on the top of the vent. The boiler is only used for hot water right
now and the solar is covering that. I'm Not too much of a green horn. I installed the system, just checking me thinking

automatic airvent on scoop vent replacement
Hi,
My automatic air vent on the air scoop on my boiler system is leaking. Can I just turn off the boiler pop the pressure relief to get the psi down and replace the vent?

leaking vent
My suggestion would be to have a pro replace it. You run the risk of getting scalded, or cause damage to the equipment. Most have a cap that you can close on top to get you out of the jam temporarily, but I don't think most here will talk you thru this and have you get burnrd. peace0
