It seems to be a great idea. The specs show a max temp on the water side to be 140*. I didn't see the r rating on the insulation. I'm not sure you could get the high storage temp and keep it throughout the day if it were on off-peak. Looks like a great idea for a stand alone/standard h2o heater.

Definitely will open up the doors for specialized service work....good luck finding parts locally. Closes the door for direct replacement with a standard h20 heater because of power supply/breaker size.

Yes it makes perfect sense that I didn't mention for those that can benefit from dehumidification of the space.

This unit would make sense in the summer, but since it pulls heat from inside the building wouldn't these dividends come at a cost to our central heating loads when this is operating in the winter?
