Single Valve Purge

I might have missed that part too. I really like these valves though. You get primary/secondary with isolation all in one. I have been using them for about two years, they really make for a nice install given the time saved purging. Their iso/drain pump flanges are great too.

Single Valve Purge
Page 48 in Dan's book "Pumping Away" shows a single boiler drain to purge a multiple zone system. Makes a lot of sense.
Page 85 shows the same thing on a primary/secondary loop system. I don't see how this would work. Won't the water just flow straight through the closely spaced tees? It seems an isolation valve between the tees would be necessary to get water to flow through the zones or have I missed something?0
