Laars EDP where is the expansion tank connected?

Download the manual from the Laars website, and check out the installation diagrams. It will clearly show all the different applications and the placement of the CW fill (the ex tank ties in with the CW fill) as per their wishes.

Laars EBP, where should the Expansion Tank be connected?

Hi, thanks for the great forum. We have a 3300 sq ft house in North Idaho built in 2000, with 5 Zones. In my system, the circulator inside the Laars is the ONLY circulator in the system. The system has always kept us comfy, so overall it must be working ok. We do not use the DHW, in fact the heat exchanger clogged a few years ago, causing short cycling only when recharging, so the contractor replaced it with a piece of pipe.

The expansion tank is on the outlet side of the boiler before the zone valves--so the pump is pumping to the tank, not away. In Dan's book he mentions Pumping Away, which means the expansion tank needs to be, in my case, somehow connected to the storage tank. Dan wants it on the inlet side of the system circulator--iow the circulator inside the boiler for my system.

Where should my expansion tank be connected in my current system? Where is it placed in other EDP installs?

    Thanks for any help,
    Ron

edited: correct mistake about placement of AC valve.
