Quiet window A/C...Boilerpro

Options
we went to pop in our couple of 6,000 btu window units and it appears one lost its charge over the winter. We bought a GE last year and it rumbles so much you can hear it throughout our house. Any suggestions for quieter units. The one with a low charge is a Fedders and was quite quiet.
(Yes, I know, "Why don't you have central air?". It only costs us about 200 a year to cool our big old place with a couple of 1/2 ton window units, so I just can't justify the cost)

    Same Boat

I pop a 5000 in each bedroom wich are a combination of ge, and goldstar. I bought a 10000 LG which is the quietest in comparison. I dont remember the smallest lg size though.

    Quiet A/C

I can't speak to the 6000btu units, but, my mother-in-law has a 12Kbtu L.G. that is barely audible when running.
