Double Steam Trap
is most definitely not a good idea.
If each rad is served by a trap(to release air & condensate), how will a M/T downstream allow the system to be vented? Individual rad traps on dry returns allow this.
Even if air vents are attached before the M/T you will compress the air in-between the supply & return if one or more rad trap fails and force live steam into the returns.
The system will be way out of balance, disguised by the M/T(for a time), not to mention the troubleshooting nightmare you`ll have to find the bad ones. ;-)

Dave

Double Steam Trap
Is there an issue with providing individual steam traps at radiators when there is an existing steam trap at the main condensate return line. Therefore there will be two traps in series.0
