Solar Project

First phase of a solar project we just started. Grid connected 5KW pv system, remainder of system will be Solar hot water, solar pool heating with unglazed panels, then converting house over to radiant heat with a condensing boiler, and geothermal for house heating and pool heating (separate wells and systems)
The only system we probably will not get too involved with is the wind turbine, not interested in working in high altitudes unless I am in the Rockies.

Spinning it backwards

Thanks Tony, it's been 15 years since the last PV system, the request for it keeps coming in and it adds one more thing to offer customers, even though the electrician has to do all the wiring. With state rebate,federal credit, and in some areas of NH one of the electric utilities gives a rebate, it actually does have a decent payback.

5kw PV and a windmill

I was just reading in Solar Today that in parts of Europe they are letting consumers sell their extra electric back to the grid at a fair profit, they are called PLUS house. Looks like they are going to have one there. Once our grid is up to date maybe we will go that way too and your customers payback will be that much faster. One thing for sure, its alot better payback than a 401k lol.
