    Herbs boiler problem

Herb, there was a problem with SOME of the Aluminum safe glycols reacting with SOME of the Aluminum boilers out there. the Buderus Aluminum boilers were having problems in particular with Hercules Cryotek AL glycol this last year that I know of and any other AL glycol using a similar formula. I only mention Cryotek as that was the Glycol I was informed about. Cryotek has reformulated their glycol to offer an improved compatibility with Aluminum to help maintain a stable PH. If that is the glycol in particular that was used. Just another thought to be considered. Check PH regularly if concerned and at least yearly as part of preventative maintenance. I have had great success with Rhomar also, as recommended in another post.

Does anyone happen to know when Cryotech fixed any problems they had with Al exchangers? Anyway to find out if it is a problem mixture from the container?
